Nestled within Singapore Expo & Changi Business Park precinct, this underground MRT station is a terminus on the Downtown Line and an interchange with the existing over-ground East-West Line Station.
The architecture celebrates movement & transition through interconnectivity, spatial volume, asymmetry, daylight, colour & super-graphics. The clarity of public spaces enables ease of navigation, engendering intuitive way-finding, identity & sense of place.
A strong urban axis coincident with the station was created for the entire precinct, providing the framework for the design and configuration of public spaces and surface structures. The sculptural and dynamic forms of the entrances and service structures create gateways to the precincts at both Expo and CBP ends.
